Chhattisgarh State Services Exam - CSSE
The Chhattisgarh State Services Exam (CSSE) is conducted by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) to select candidates for various posts such as State Finance Service Officer, CG Subordinate Account Service Officer, Assistant Director, District Women & Child Development Officer, Labour Officer, Assistant Registrar (Cooperatives), Superintendent (District Jail), Commercial Tax Officer, CGPSC State Police Service (DSP), State Civil Service (Dy. Collector) & other vacancies in the administrative department in the State bureaucracy.
CGPSC Application Process
- The applicants can fill up online application form for CGPSC by logging on the official website
- They need to select the post which they wish to apply for and can fill up all the details that are required in the application form such as the name, address and the other personal and educational details.
- The applicants are required to attach their scanned photo and signature in the application form.
- The application process is finally done after the payment of the application fees.
CGPSC Eligibility Criteria
Given below is the list of eligibility criteria that every applicant needs to fulfill before they apply for CGPSC.
- The applicant must belong to the state of Chhattisgarh.
- The applicant must successfully complete their bachelor level of education from any recognized institute.
- The applicant should not be more than 32 years of age. However there is a relaxation of 5 year in the upper age limit of the candidates belonging to reserved category.
CGPSC Examination Pattern
Chhattisgarh State Services Examination will be held in three stages, viz. Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination and Interview. The detailed information about the examination have been given below.
Preliminary ExaminationThe first stage of the examination is known as the Preliminary examination. The exam will consist of two compulsory papers of objective type with multiple choice questions.

Total marks: 200 (2 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted from each wrong answer)
Paper 2Duration: 2 hours
No. of Question: 100
Total marks: 200 (2 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted from each wrong answer)
Mains Examination
Candidates who clears the preliminary examination are only eligible to sit for the Mains Exam. The exam is of descriptive nature and consists of seven compulsory question papers.

Interview
Candidates, who secure qualifying marks in the Main examination, will be eligible to appear for the interview. They will have to sit in front of a panel where the candidates will be judged upon their thorough knowledge about a particular topic.
Marks: 150
